
The Guidance Center’s Practicum & Internship Training Program is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of mental health professionals. Our program offers students pursuing degrees in social work, counseling, psychology, and related fields a comprehensive learning experience. Through hands-on practice in a community-based setting, students develop the expertise needed to serve diverse populations effectively. We are committed to providing an enriching environment that supports professional growth and prepares students for successful careers in mental health.

✔ Supervised Clinical Experience – Work directly with clients under the guidance of licensed professionals.
✔ Comprehensive Training – Gain exposure to evidence-based interventions, crisis intervention, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
✔ Professional Development – Receive support in refining your clinical skills, documentation, and case conceptualization.
✔ Diverse Learning Opportunities – Engage with various populations, including individuals with serious mental illness, families, and children.
✔ Licensure Supervision – Students may receive supervision that aligns with licensure requirements when applicable.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
We welcome applications from students pursuing:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Social Work (BSW, MSW)
- Master’s in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology (LMLP, LPC, LMFT candidates)
- Other Mental Health Disciplines – If you are unsure whether your field qualifies, reach out to discuss opportunities!
