Maggie Myers currently serves The Guidance Center (TGC) as Project Director and handles day-to-day implementation needs for TGC’s federal grant. Maggie has her Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas and 25 years of experience in the behavioral health field, divided between Community Mental Health Centers and Medicaid Managed Care Organizations. Maggie started her behavioral health career at Area Mental Health Center (now Compass Behavioral Health) as a direct service provider delivering adult/child case management, school social work, and therapy services. Maggie moved into federal grant administration and outpatient clinic administration prior to shifting into managed care. Maggie’s managed care experience includes behavioral health clinical review, utilization management and case management in addition to staff management roles for Kansas Health Solutions, Amerigroup, and Sunflower Health Plan.
