Samantha Adams earned her undergraduate degree from Missouri Western State University.  Upon graduating, she began her career in mental health at The Guidance Center as a Youth Case Manager, eventually promoting to the Youth Psychosocial Coordinator position. While working at The Guidance Center, she began her Master of Social Work program with The University of Kansas. Samantha completed a practicum in the Early Childhood program before leaving TGC to do a school-based practicum to complete her degree.

Upon completion of her Master of Social Work, Samantha worked for the State of Kansas as an abuse/neglect investigator. She moved into a Clinical Specialist position at KVC and eventually a Permanency Supervisor in the foster care field. Once the opportunity presented itself, Samantha returned to The Guidance Center as a Case Manager Supervisor, and in 2012 was promoted to her current position as the Community Based Services Director.
