Together we shine a light on suicide prevention.
BEACON (Bringing Empowerment, Awareness, and Connection Over Northeast Kansas) is a suicide prevention coalition serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties. We are committed to reducing suicide through education, outreach, resource distribution, and community collaboration. Led by The Guidance Center and supported by the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services, BEACON unites mental health professionals, first responders, educators, veterans, and community members around a shared mission of hope and connection.
Together, we are building a tri-county network of support to reduce stigma, promote help-seeking, and save lives.
